hah,vector class?on which college? here in Croatia I am just finishing graphic design art college...and unfortunatley we haven't seen much practice...I definitly didn't have anything like the vector class...

i love the detail on her face
but i think you shouldve left the upper-right corner white, the lower-right continued with her hair, and the lower-left continued with her black shirt.
i like the body more than the background, and i think it should be more dominant in the picture. :]

My school is called the Center for New Media in Michigan, and i think they've got a pretty good program going for us Illustrators. I had NO idea how to use adobe illustrator, so i feel i learned a lot in the past few monthes. Good luck to you and your schooling!
